12 Tips for Experiencing Jazz In The Grazz Chicago State University

2015 is the 6th Annual Jazz Music Season at Jazz In The Grazz at Chicago State University. There have been some changes this year due to budget cuts by Gov. Bruce Rauner.

Chicago State University now charges a nominal $5 entry fee plus $5 parking fee for participant goers. The past five years the event was free to the public and held in the outdoor amphitheater of the Douglas Hall near the library.

This year the opening event was held Wednesday, June 17th  inside the Patricia and Emil Jones Convocation Center where the jazz concert attendees were sent to the ticket booth to purchase tickets for $5.

This Wednesday, June 24th the Jazz In The Grazz event was held in between the Patricia and Emil Jones Convocation Center and the Jacoby Dickens Athletic and Physical Education Center.

Here are 12 tips to help you enjoy the 2015 Jazz In The Grazz concert event, which is every Wednesday from June 17th to September 2nd 6 pm to 8:00 pm.

Call the Chicago State University Cashier's Office to purchase $50 season passes at 773-995-2029. Visit http://www.csu.edu/grazzevents/index.htm for more info.

1) Arrive early for best view, seating begin at 5 pm

2) Daily tickets $5 per person

3) Better Deal  $50 season pass call cashier's office at 773-995-2029

4)  Checkout Groupon for discount on $50 season pass

 5) Enter for parking at the stoplight of 99th and King Drive next to the Secretary of State Drivers Services.

 6) Bring cash for $5 parking fee

7) Bring lawn chairs, grill, picnic baskets, ice chests, coolers, BYOB

8) Wear White Wednesdays - wear something white for the concert and come to party

9) Take a selfie at the jazz concert to share with family and friends

10) Invite those who can't make it the Jazz In The Grazz event  to watch livestream at www.csu.edu
